MARIGAT
The USAMRU-K,
Marigat Field Station is located in the Rift Valley south of Lake
Baringo. The facility is comprised of a 540 square foot laboratory
which serves as a base of operation for our sand fly field research
program. Adjacent to the building is a 300 square meter netted
enclosure designed to conduct semi-field studies to better
understand and control sand flies with the goal of preventing
leishmaniasis and virus transmission.
